چکیده

Characterization of the impulse response for real optical wireless channels states the acces bandwidth of communication. In the case of diffuse infrared wireless channel the impulse response varies abruptly with changes in receiver/emitter position and furniture composition of non-empty rooms, so the development of tools capable of estimating this response in real circumstances is important. In this paper we present a new method for estimating the impulse response using a reduced-model of the actual indoor environment. Both simulation and experiments shows a good agreement for the a impulse response function at the 1550nm wavelength for indoor transmissions in a reduced model room.

Indoor Non-directed Optical Wireless Communications - Optimization of the Lambertian Order

For an indoor non-directed line of sight optical wireless communication (NLOS-OWC) system we investigate the optimized Lambertian order (OLO) of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). We firstly derive an expression for the OLO from a conventional Lambertian LED model. Then, we analyze the indoor multi-cell NLOS-OWC channel characteristics including the optical power distribution and the multipath time ...

Channel Characteristic and Transmission Performance of An Indoor Wireless Optical Communication System

Channel characteristics of an indoor wireless optical communication system is provided here. A channel impulse response includes the power ratio and time delay due to bounce times. Based on the scenario of the indoor structure, we obtained and discussed the received power distribution according to six configurations in Table 1, which vary with respect to transmitter and receiver positions and r...

Simulation of Multipath Impulse Response for Indoor Wireless Optical Channels

We present a recursive method for evaluating the impulse response of an indoor free-space optical channel with Lambertian reflectors. The method, which accounts for multiple reflections of any order, enables accurate analysis of the effects of multipath dispersion on high-speed indoor optical communication. We present a simple algorithm for computer implementation of the technique. We present c...

MIMO characterization of indoor wireless optical link using a diffuse-transmission configuration

Performance of a diffuse optical link may potentially be degraded by temporal dispersions resulting from surface reflections. In order to devise techniques to alleviate the adverse effect of dispersion, an accurate channel model is needed. Obtaining the impulse response (IR) for a given receiver location requires not only consideration of direct path, but also reflections up to nth order. The I...
